Competition Results at Wensum Valley Hotel
Charity Pink Day
Wensum Valley hosted a Charity Pink Day in aid of breast cancer research. Organised by Vice Captain Scott Barker the day went really well, everybody really got into the swing of things all wearing pink (some more than others!) Winner on the day was Dave Strachan on 44 points beating Steve 'Huggy' Kearns on a count back.
Everybody was very generous with their donations and already we have £2,200 however Scott is hoping to reach the £3,000 mark!
A big thankyou to all who supported the day and turned up in pink dresses,,,,, you know you enjoyed it!

The competition was held on Wednesday 14th July 2010 with 17 golfers taking part. They managed to raise £427 for the East of England Air Ambulance.
Our congratulations go to Brian Gower who won with 39 points and took home 4 cut glass whisky glasses for his efforts. A special thanks goes to the corporate sponsor.

Club Championship 2010
The annual Club Championship took place on the weekend of 10th and 11th July 2010. The weather was very hot and sunny for both days although the wind did pick up during the second days play.
The first day was commanded by Nick Traube who shot a gross 71 around the Valley Course, leading John Gorman & Mark Reynolds by 5 shots.
On the second day John Gorman produced a superb round of 75 gross on the more demanding Wensum Course to overtake Nick and claim the Scratch Prize. John finished his round in style, chipping in for an eagle on the 18th in front of a large audience of members!
Nick Traube managed to hang on for second place & third was taken by promising junior Jamie Sheldrake with consistent rounds of 79 & 81.
John Gorman was also the winner of the Handicap Competition for the third year running, with Jamie Sheldrake finishing second & Mark Lambert third.
